2023 Small Train Show
On the weekend of 23rd and 24th of September 2023 we hosted the Small Train Show at the Scout Hall in Gonville. Around 200 people attended over the two days, a little quiet but we had fun none the less. All displays were provided by our own members and included several layouts in 00/H0 Scale, N Scale and NZ120 scale. Also model engineering and a static display of R/C boats. Thanks to everyone who participated in the show, see you all next time.

2022 Model Railway Expo
On October the 1st and 2nd we hosted the Wanganui Model Railway Expo at the City College Hall. The event was very well supported and around 1000 people came through over the weekend. Thanks to Steamrail Wanganui's resident Kiwirail Signal Electrician, the entrance to the hall included a set of working crossing lights (bells disconnected, thankfully) and functional 3 aspect colour block signals.
Centre pieces this year were the Vintage 0 gauge, Island of Sodor and the N scale T-Track modular layouts, all very popular with young and old alike.
Thanks to everyone who took part and made it such a success. Hope to see you all again next time.
